Unpacking...Still!

Ok, so it's been 2 weeks since our shipment was delivered and yes, we are still unpacking (and probably will be for quite a while)!  We are making progress though...

We got our sconce at the end of the hall up and lighted...

My cabinet doors and shelves are in, the drawer fronts come tomorrow along with most of the other things (linen closets and wardrobes in both bedrooms).  I was trying to wait until my counters were clear to take a picture, but that won't be anytime soon so here you go...

And, Taa Daa!!  We have a new toy!  Stu is loving mowing the lawn (and multi-tasking with his coffee)!!

Let It Snow...

 We had some nasty weather come through a few days ago... rain and wind (those are leaves flying everywhere).

And this is what we woke up to Saturday morning...

Yup, snow!

Looked really pretty, but fortunately didn't last long.

The majority of my counter top is now complete, we had to call back to Italy and order a few more pieces, but at least I can use it the way it is... And what is done looks great, we love it!

The kitchen sink and dishwasher are now in!!!  Yahoooo!

Another shot out the living room window...

It's been pretty cold, but the weather report says that we'll be in the high 60's all week!  I love it! 

All of our plumbing is done...finally!  We still have a few electrical bits and pieces to go and the cabinet guys are here even as I type to put in some doors and shelves...Looks like I'll be unpacking this afternoon!!

Ahhhh...Chaos!

The good news is that we received the rest of our shipment yesterday, the bad news is we have no place, other than the front porch, to put it.  Since the majority of it is kitchen stuff, and I still have no drawer/door fronts or shelves...

We knew the last box on the truck contained our lava table and that we would need more help than the moving company provided to move it, so we enlisted the help of Jeff and his Man Machine.

Here comes the zebra couch...

Eeeeeeek!  That box is huge!

And that would be the box with the table...

 Safe and sound, the table made it without a scratch!

The tile for the counter top is underway.

And the granite for the island arrived this morning...Beautiful!

We didn't think the couch was going to fit, especially after seeing the box!!

Still need to do some rearranging, but so far, everything fits.



Things are winding down, we have a quite a few more projects to complete and I'm not sure we'll ever officially say we're done, but we've come a long way!!
