Last week we headed up north, to Virginia. We camped at the Grindstone Campground, with our friends Jan and Jerry.
We started our trip at the historic Barter Theater to see "Welcome back to Ivy Gap", hilarious! Afterward, we went down the street to the Abingdon Olive Oil Company and did a little tasting. We were amazed, so much so, we brought a few bottles home with us!
After that, Stu finally got his banana split! And I got a dainty little sundae...
The next day was a little rainy so we went to Galax to check out the New River Trail. Looks good, we'll hit that next time!
Galax is along the Crooked Road, famous for local Bluegrass music.
On to the Virginia Creeper Trail. It was a beautiful day for a ride! Not sure what's got Stu so cracked up???
Love this trail!
Beautiful!
There I am with Jerry coming in fast behind me.
We started at Whitetop, 17 miles... helps that most of them are downhill!!!
Cool enough for a fire, love it! Great ending to a great trip!
That about sums it up....Welcome to Tennessee!
