We have arrived! The hotel is very nice and has free internet! We are at the Savoia Hotel Country House.
The rooms are very comfortable...and unlike every other European hotel the bed is even comfortable! 
We checked in and ran across the street to the restaurant attached to the hotel before it closed
So far so good, we are going into town after a quick recharge... after a 6 hour drive and lunch... we need a nap...
We finally got up and took the local bus into the center of town... Beautiful city!
We stopped at a sidewalk bar for a few drinks and munchies.... The name of the bar was the "Swine bar", at least they have a sense of humor!!
What a great start to a vacation!!
While we were having breakfast the next morning, we decided to stay another night and just do a day trip to Pisa. So that night we found a great little Japanese restaurant, I know, I know, but we get Italian food all the time!

On to Pisa tomorrow morning...
