Yesterday was exactly 8 weeks from the first day the excavators started! I can't believe the progress, it's so exciting!
We had another cast of thousands yesterday so we decided to do a BBQ for all the workers, nothing fancy (how do you like my serving table?? Adapt and overcome!) but it did the trick.
And happy Stu back in his Grill Master mode.
They are almost done with the stone, except of course, for around the windows and doors..
The drip ledge on the very top was the last to go up.
Beautiful, I can't wait for the windows to go in!!
We thought this guys t-shirt was cute, most of our sub-contractors are Mexican...
The fireplace chimney is done and looks great!
We had some stone left over so we decided to continue around the back and in the courtyard.
The fireplace again.
The roof on the East side of the house is almost done. With any luck they will have the whole roof done this weekend, we are expecting thunderstorms starting today...
Today's project...
These are shots coming down the driveway.
In theory the activities for the weekend should go like this: the roofers will work today (Saturday) and Sunday. The carpenters should be working on framing up the front of the garage and making the deck and stairs up to the apartment in the garage. And the guys for the porches and courtyard should be working today as well...as with some of the windows and doors arriving on Monday...we'll see. But if it all comes together, it will be a very productive weekend!
Please repaint your pinic table to Non-Husky colors. Much appreciated, Tyler.
